Mark Prince appointed CEO

George S. Weaver, Jr., Chairman of HB&W Inc. Financial Services Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Prince to the position of Chief Executive Officer.  Prince succeeds George S. Weaver, Jr. who continues as Chairman of the Board, having served as CEO since 1973.  HB & W Inc. is the holding company of the investment firm Hazlett, Burt and Watson Inc. and its money management division Security Capital Management as well as Security National Trust Company, a single purpose, nationally chartered trust company.
 Prince will also transition to the post of President and CEO of Hazlett, Burt & Watson upon the retirement of Marilynn S. Echols, who has served as CEO for the past 6 years of her 40 year career with the firm.   Echols will remain on the board and continue serving the firm in a consulting capacity.

For 23 years prior to his appointment, Prince played various management roles at JPMorgan Chase, and predecessor Bank One, serving most recently as Managing Director and West Virginia CEO for the company.  Prince’s community leadership roles include serving as a member of the 2005 WV Trade Mission recruiting trip to Japan with Senator Rockefeller and Governor Manchin; Chairman of the WV State Chamber of Commerce in 2003-2004; Chairman of the WV Infrastructure Council from 2002-2006 and WV Bankers Association Chairman in 2006.  Prince has served on various advisory and civic boards.
